Summary:
Degrowth has increased in popularity significantly in the past few years. Yet, there is a persistent reluctance to adopt degrowth in official narratives and policy positions. This reluctance is largely based on an improper understanding of degrowth and on hidden motives that seek to protect established privileges.
In this talk I will explore 5 quantitative and 5 qualitative questions to define clear boundaries for degrowth. I will propose 5 prefigurative statements for a radical, open and courageous adoption of degrowth with the aim of surviving the polycrises brought upon by capitalism

Biography:
Vlad Bunea is a researcher with the  Degrowth Research Circle, York University; a video essayist; an essayist; editor of the Sufficiency and Wellbeing Magazine; founding Member of Degrowth Collective; founding Member of the International Degrowth Network, and
a Post Growth Institute Affiliate Fellow.
He has published 5 books of fiction:The Urban Dictionary of Very Late Capitalism (2021), The Intimate Diary of Pope Francis the Second (2019), Gals, Gods, Guns: 100 very short stories (2017), Womb Town (2016), Snowstorm in Cuba (2015).
