Tesla officially opened its highly anticipated Hollywood diner last summer, and it turns out the building is just as “tough as nails” as the trucks parked outside. While we’ve known for a while that the diner would feature a striking metallic look, Tesla has finally confirmed a detail that fans have been speculating about since construction began.
The entire two-story structure is clad in recycled stainless steel sourced directly from Cybertruck production. Tesla’s North America account recently shared the news on X, noting that the Diner was built using recycled stainless steel from Cybertruck production.

Located at 7001 Santa Monica Blvd in Los Angeles, the Tesla Diner is far more than just a place to plug in. It’s a 24/7 “retro-futuristic” hub that blends 1950s nostalgia with high-tech utility. The site features a massive Supercharger station with 80 V4 stalls, making it one of the largest urban charging spots in the world.
But the real draw is the entertainment. The diner functions as a drive-in movie theater, but instead of old-school projectors, Tesla has installed two massive 66-foot LED screens in the parking lot. Guests can watch movies from the rooftop “Skypad” patio, or from the comfort of their own cars. The audio even syncs directly to your Tesla’s sound system while you charge.
