Tariffs and the Global Environment Effects
In the past, govermments ave primarily used tariffs to protect their own industries from damage, notably to prevent dumping . Tariffs have also been used as means to extract money from others, notably from their own industries and consumers as well as to punish those they do not want to sell to their markets. Do less cows preserve the envvironment or do tariffs just shift the impact to other ecosystems?
