Flags are bits of colored cloth that governments use first to shrink-wrap people’s brains and then as ceremonial shrouds to bury the dead.

Suzanna Arundhati Roy is an Indian author. She won the Booker Prize for Fiction in 1997, which became the biggest-selling book by a non-expatriate Indian author. She is also a political activist involved in human rights and environmental causes.
