Dr. Karen Shragg will illuminate the missing piece for why wildlife is losing the battle of survival, our growth and takeover of the landscape.  Sprawl is now documented to be related to population growth.  Avoiding this topic because it is currently tethered to politics has been another nail in the coffin of the protection of wildlife.  Sprawling Over America: Why the Endangered Species Act isn’t Enough boldly, scientifically, and compassionately addresses an issue too long ignored to the detriment of all.

Dr. Karen Shragg is a naturalist, author, poet, and overpopulation activist.  She the author of the 2015 book Moving Upstream: a Call for Solving Overpopulation (Freethought House Press).  She has been invited to speak about overpopulation all over the US, as well as England, China, and Belize.  She was interviewed by CGTN TV, appears in the film ‘The Way to Live’ and has been on  Earth X TV, and has been many podcasts including the latest, “3 Women 2 countries 1 Message on Post Growth Australia.”  Karen is also a children’s book author and has co-authored the Nature’s Yucky series by Mountain Press.
