Topic: Shaping the Future with Curiosity and Care: What It Means to Be a Grokkist
Time: Jan 8, 2025 15:00 Eastern Time (US and Canada) – Danu is in Auckland, NZ
Presentation Summary
In a world defined by complexity and uncertainty, we need more than specialisation—or even generalism. We need people who see the bigger picture and ask beautiful questions that open up new possibilities. In this talk, Danu Poyner, founder of Grokkist, introduces the concept of the ‘grokkist’—someone who moves through the world with curiosity and care, integrating an accumulation of diverse experiences into a cohesive whole. By insisting on curiosity and care, grokkists re-enchant the quality of our attention, navigate life’s contradictions, and challenge dehumanising systems. Through this lens, Danu explores how grokkists foster environments where creative and ethical solutions can thrive, expanding our possibility space and shaping meaningful change.
