Ted and Margo Manning, CACOR members, are involved in an international project to provide site specific information to those who wish to travel but who may encounter challenges when they arrive. Their company, Tourisk and an NGO partner, Sustainable Travel International have now made available a method to attach information on accessibility to any geographical location or tourist site. This is in the form of a template which any organization can append to their own site or location or post on travel sites/reviews and which advises travelers on the conditions they will encounter. This is a pro-bono initiative and we have worked for several years with agents and organizations representing those with challenges and provide these free of charge to anyone prepared to use them.
CAN I GO THERE?

A new way to show how accessible any site, attraction enterprise is for those who wish to visit.
Information to help challenged travelers to visit the world safely
iAccess.world provides free templates which a tourist site or enterprise can link to their website to show people with challenges that they are accessible to many of them. Travelers are all different- and barriers are different for each. Each person just needs current facts on conditions to judge themselves whether they can visit your shop, restaurant, lodge or viewpoint, or manage conditions on your tour. By appending a simple page of information, it can be clear to travelers if the site is easy for them to visit or not, or if they will need to come with others to let them enjoy it.
Tourisk Inc and Sustainable Travel International have produced these sheets to make it easy to show the conditions at any place – how high, what surface, are there rails and other facilities so each traveler can visit places where their capacity will succeed.
Visit the website for more information and to get and use the free templates to announce that you are providing the needed information on your conditions so any traveler – able, elderly, handicapped can find places suitable for their needs. Append them to any website or geolocation so that travelers will know in advance what to expect and not be disappointed or surprised when they get there. We also encourage agents to ask hotels and restaurants to provide this information, so they can more easily serve clients who have challenges and are seeking suitable places to visit
This is free to use but will bring benefits to all who use it and provide the information. If we all do it, everyone wins.
