As rapporteur, Jane Dougan (coordinator of interdisciplinary programs in the Arboretum at U Guelph) summed up the session by saying that there was agreement that a new vision was needed: to live appropriately within our time and place. This would require boldness, bravery, courage, integrity, resilience, the ability to imagine new horizons, and the ability to recognize the very real boundaries that exist, including those of our own making.
