Ricardo Diez-Hochleitner, President of the Club of Rome (CoR), gave this four-page address in April 1998 to celebrate the 30th anniversary of CoR.
He concluded his remarks by saying that 30 years of activity were only a beginning. The years to come would certainly show whether all of us have chosen for better or for worse.
[Given that we have gone from about 6 billion to over 8 billion and begun to breach multiple planetary boundaries, including what we have to do climate, it is pretty hard to argue that we have chosen “for worse.” Ed.]
