“About the conference
With world leaders convening in Bali for the G20 summit, the Atlantic Council Global Food Security Forum, running from November 12 – 13, 2022 at the Sofitel Bali Nusa Dua Resort, took a collaborative, cross-sector approach to addressing the global food security challenges of today and envisioning the more resilient food systems and supply chains of tomorrow.
By convening international, regional, and local food security leaders, including government officials, corporate and business leaders, experts, and advocates, this forum offered a prime opportunity for participants to help inform public policies, shape business practices, and frame media discourse amid G20 momentum.
Global food security sits at the nexus of the world’s most pressing challenges. As food insecurity rises – threatened by near-term shocks like the COVID-19 pandemic and war in Ukraine, and long-term risks of climate change and sustained conflict – ending world hunger will require enhanced public-private cooperation and wide-ranging innovation in agriculture, technology, finance and policy.”
