You never change things by fighting the existing reality.
To change something, build a new model that makes
the existing model obsolete.
R. Buckminster Fuller
Richard Buckminster Fuller was an American architect, systems theorist, writer, designer, inventor, philosopher, and futurist. Creator of the geodesic dome.
Commentary, Dr. Edward W. (Ted)Manning, Member, Club of Rome: Needs are very insensitive to price changes as are many wants. Efforts to add taxes, user fees, or any other escalations in price have normally had very limited results. Exceptions to this inelasticity can happen if a price is suddenly doubles (such as for liquor) but in practice (as with gasoline) demand soon reverts close to where it started.
