Meeting ID: 878 5727 4169
Passcode: 156408
This talk presents a systems engineering analysis of climate science and industrial civilization. It shows that animal agriculture is the leading cause of climate change responsible for at least 87% of greenhouse gas emissions on an annual basis. It exposes four deadly climate deceptions employed in the UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (UN IPCC) Fifth Assessment Report and related mainstream climate science papers. These deceptions serve to undercount the greenhouse gas emissions contributions of animal agriculture and overcount the emissions contributions of the fossil fuel industry, just as similar deceptions in mainstream nutrition science hide the harmful health consequences of consuming animal foods. Such deceptions serve to lubricate the disease-promoting, planet-destroying, economic growth engine of industrial civilization. Finally, this talk presents an alternate story and economic structure that can lead us towards a sustainable civilization on a thriving planet.
