Thank you for your “sunny days, sunny ways.”

What a relief after the egocentric dictatorship of Harper’s hard ten years.

Please be a leader for us all and for the world in green energy implementation, climate warming mitigation measures and healthy aboriginal ascendance. 

Please develop programs to financially assist Canadian citizens, businesses and organizations to implement energy-efficient retrofitting and installation of solar/thermal energy systems, creating new green energy jobs and commercial opportunities.

I think you were wrong to approve the LNG development that would result in pipelines going through the super sensitive environment of the Spirit Bear to a port on a wild, rocky, treacherous, pristine coast.  Please reconsider and revoke this decision.

Rather than ship filthy, incorrigible, corrosive bitumen / tar sands via pipeline east and west, why not first REFINE BITUMEN IN ALBERTA, preferably on site, where STRINGENT Canadian environmental standards can be enforced and Canadian jobs created?  A timeline could be established for when tar sand operations are phased out and, in the meantime, a certain percentage of carbon companies’ profits could be taxed to support energy-efficient retrofitting, green energy installations, research and development.
