| Last night’s webinar: World’s Largest Nuclear Station in Port Hope?
Thank you for registering for last night’s webinar with Jack Gibbons, Ontario Clean Air Alliance, and Theresa McClenaghan, Canadian Environmental Law Association Please view the following links and share them with your friends: · The recording of the webinar · Jack’s report: Port Hope’s Electricity Future: Wind and Solar or New Nuclear? · The Real Cost of New Nuclear report · Our Briefing Note about the IESO report. · The Impact Assessment Agency of Canada’s Wesleyville portal which includes the Initial Project description, submit a comment, read others’ comments, funding, and more. Have your say by sending your comments to the Impact Assessment Agency of Canada (IAAC), either through its portal, or email your comments directly to [email protected]. Please ask the IAAC to direct OPG to look at the cleaner, safer and lower cost options (e.g., offshore wind, solar, storage) to building the world’s largest nuclear station. Comments are due by midnight Feb. 11. Also, if you live in the area of Port Hope, Cobourg, or anywhere nearby, please help us distribute these leaflets in local coffee shops, school, libraries, and to your neighbours. I’m coordinating distribution and can mail you a box plus a map around your home. You can distribute them on your own time. Let me know if you can spare a few hours to help get the word out and I’ll set you up. As well, if you know of any high school students that might be interested, they can gain their required volunteer service hours by distributing leaflets. Please connect them with me: [email protected]. Thanks so much for engaging! If we all step up, we can make a difference and protect our communities. -Angela Bischoff, Director |
