“Run on Less” Electric project shows freight hauling can be electrified

Freight hauling on roads emits enormous quantities of greenhouse gas.  About a dozen firms have collaborated in a project to prove trucks can be powered by electric batteries.  When those batteries are charged from low emission sources, like solar and wind, the emission profile of the industry is greatly reduced.  This 5-minute video explains the project and its promise.
