Dr. Lyla June Johnston is an Indigenous musician, scholar, and community organizer of Diné (Navajo), Tsétsêhéstâhese (Cheyenne) and European lineages. She blends her study of Human Ecology at Stanford, graduate work in Indigenous Pedagogy, and the traditional worldview she grew up with to inform her music, perspectives and solutions. Lyla June Johnston joins Asher Miller for a brief interview to share four key influences on her life journey towards justice and healing of people and planet, and speaks powerfully about love and compassion, even for our “enemies.” Forgiveness instead of climate anxiety, atomized society and technological hubris. A new presentation by the Post Carbon Institute and resilience.org
