Hi all,
In amongst the ocean of bad LNG news, I am happy to have some good news!
On Monday, a coalition of over 60 organizations spanning Canada, Africa, Asia, Oceania, North America, South America, and Europe sent letters to Export Development Canada, the Canada Infrastructure Bank and Canada Growth Fund demanding that they do not provide any financing to the Ksi Lisims LNG terminal (nor LNG Canada). This group of organisations represents the voices of over 1.6 million Canadians.
This is exactly what is needed at this moment: continued, co-ordinated pushback reminding the federal government of their responsibilities to the environment, Indigenous rights and their voters.
