Dear all:
The linked story is about what’s happening water-wise (and industry-wise) in Dawson Creek, BC — a specific example of the general case.
I heard somewhere that Canada has a goal to clear the way to sell more gas so we can make more money to keep the economy going.
For what? To keep something called “the good life” while claiming to clean up to our messes, to make more money … so … how’s that working out?
I also heard somewhere that some folks out there claim there are no problems with any of this — and are working to erase those who think there are.
The in-your-face evidence and all science tells us the problems are getting worse. Those who deny and deny the denial are blindly erasing everything.
So — what do do? Hang on. Do what you can. It’s a rough ride. You can’t get off. It ends in just one way. We are erasing ourselves, and everything else too.
Just keep in mind Slim Pickens’ last words — Yeehaw!
Onwards / best wishes / Bob Este
