CACOR member David Dougherty did a quick review of a new publication from Project Drawdown.
Members might recall that we posted a link the original Project Drawdown (on the project group’s website) several years ago. [ https://canadiancor.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/Drawdown-Review_book-review.docx ]
This new publication examines what may be available for humanity to use in controlling climate change. It includes technologies and ways of accomplishing tasks.
The book review was not about the individual tactics. New ones will constantly emerge and each will change in nature. Rather, it is about whether the whole suite will be sufficient to get enough carbon out of the atmosphere and oceans.
Spoiler alert: it will not. We will need much more than proposed in the most optimistic scenario used by Project Drawdown.
