14:42:33 From  Ted Manning  to  Everyone : For some time, organizations like the Foundation for International Training and the Black Sea University (both linked to Club of Rome members) have been using distance learning for adult information and training - in Eastern Europe, China, etc.   - for training in e.g., environmental management, cleanup, sustainability and similar, including distance mentoring (particularly when translated dialogues are essential to foster problem solving.   This is a parallel path and does pay off.
Now with Skype, zoom etc. distance mentoring is also emerging as a powerful international communication device.    This opens many possibilities... including current work re the greening of small communities in African coasts and risk management of Small Island Developing states as an example. How can we best take advantage of the emerging technologies and experience in distance learning to foster adult learning too – and maybe support greening worldwide?
