Eric Solem mused about the first decade of life with the global internet. His subtitle was the Globalization of Space, Time, and Image.
In particular, he discussed how the internet had and would likely affect international security and policy relations, censorship and control of populations and country governments. Among other things, he posited that real security lies in human rights, and he saw the internet as a powerful tool in freedom of information, spreading facts and knowledge, though requiring careful monitoring for abuse.
