About the session: This is a workshop session. It will be a participatory workshop using the Wisdom Game to experience how we value our Values.
About the session leaders: Your workshop leaders are: Gabiela Gref-Innes, John Verdon and Lalith Gunaratne
Gabriela Gref Innes: Gabriela is trying to understand what retirement is after having worked for the Federal Government for 35 years as an international commerce professional in various capacities and departments, having brought up a family, having had her own company, having helped numerous causes and people achieve their dreams and having built a large network in various sectors especially Humanitarian (UN and Development) and Space (Canadian and International programs) and last but not least having been on CACOR Board for the last 2.5 years and a member for longer. The last 3.5 years have proven to me that “retirement” is a paradox….for there is no life without “engagement” since life = action (mental or physical) and for as long as one is a member of an association such as CACOR or CPTM and acts on her/his values, one is always engaged .
Lalith Gunaratne: Lalith is a parent, a renewable energy entrepreneur in the solar and small hydro businesses and a mindfulness practitioner. He is involved in Oursun Canada Inc. www.canada.meeco.net and Sage Ontario for Mindful Leadership www.sageontario.org
John Verdon: John suffers from an undisciplined mind as education in psychology, anthropology, sociology and philosophy suggests. A free-range thinker he forages in many domains including foresight, economics, complexity and technology. He is retired after 25 years as a public servant (15 years as a strategic foresight analyst for National Defence). Currently he is a consultant and writer. His current project is a book ‘The Wealth of People” – exploring theory and philosophy for flourishing human capital in the 21st Century.
