Ice cores from Greenland and Northern Canada tell a consistent story of changes in the climate over many millennium. This story is presented from the end of the last ice age 11750 years ago to the present and the major climate events related to examples of societal response.
In this presentation, we will take a look at a few of the important milestones in artificial intelligence research. We will take a quick dive into artificial neural networks and consider some of the issues in their design and training. We end by making some speculations on the future impact of machine learning.
